Like riding a bike
So it may have been a long time since you have written any fan fic, but you make it seem like riding a bike - you know, not easy to forget how. I find it hard to believe you have never written any SGA. I often think how there just can't be anything new when it comes to story ideas, and then I get surprised over and and over. I think SGA fic authors are some of the most creative, and you are no exception. I found this story very engaging and entertaining. In fact, I read it last night when I should have been sleeping, but I just had to finish. Thank you for a great story and I am sure this one will be read multiple times.

Re: Like riding a bike
Thank you so much. I was really worried about the story because it's been such a long time since I've written any fiction. I'm so relieved that you enjoyed it.
I agree about the creativity of the SGA fandom. There are some amazing writers out there. And, lots of stories that I read over and over. I'm hugely flattered that you think mine might be one of those.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Sorry about the sleep.

Wow, i think you did really well for someone who hasn't written SGA. Thank you i really enjoyed 'my' fic. I loved the" Ancienty-thingy-made-Sheppard-go-bye-byes" and poor Rodney's guilt and of course that he figured it out and rescued him. Nice use of loss of a sense. Great stuff!

Really liked this story. At the end I was thinking why don't they send in some people with the artificial gene explore the portal that Sheppard saw. Then I realized, ya, but how would they get back? Sheppard's natural gene was needed to get them out. I love it when a story gives me the what ifs. Thanks for writing.

Thanks so much for the kind words. This was my first SGA story so it's really gratifying to hear that you enjoyed it.
I do like open ended stories myself. I'm glad to hear this worked for you.
